Jets First Rounder Rutger McGroarty Stretchered Off Ice Last Night
Rutger McGroarty is currently playing for the Michigan Wolverines of the NCAA and was the Winnipeg Jets' first-round pick in 2022 as they selected him 14th overall. Last night, he was on the receiving end of a scary play that sent him to the hospital.
During the game last night, McGroarty was hit awkwardly into the boards. He was unable to skate off on his own and had to be stretchered off the ice. He was immediately sent to the emergency room. As of last night, the extent of his injuries are unknown.

Rutger McGroarty was taken to the emergency room according to Michigan coach Brandon Naurato. The extent of the injury is unknown.
McGroarty is one of Michigan's top scorers and was set to have a huge impact on Team USA's under-20 World Junior Team. Hopefully, McGroarty will have a speedy and full recovery from the scary incident.
