Anaheim Ducks forward Trevor Zegras has been rumored to be on the trade market since early in the 2023-2024 season, and the speculation continues as the 2024-2025 season approaches.

Twenty-three-year-old Trevor Zegras has been the subject of trade rumors for nearly a year. Although these rumors have cooled down, it is still possible that the young center could be traded before the season starts or during the season leading up to the 2024-2025 NHL trade deadline. However, trading him might be challenging.
Once considered a potential franchise player, Zegras has taken a significant step back in recent years and missed most of last season due to injuries. The upcoming season could be a pivotal one for his career, determining whether he can establish himself as an impact player or settle as a 60-point complementary forward.
It's hard to predict if Zegras will have a breakout season and surpass his performance from the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 seasons, or if he will continue to struggle. A change of scenery might be necessary for his growth.
The Ducks are still in a rebuilding phase, and Zegras or the team may decide that parting ways is the best move for both parties to progress toward respectability.
