Jake Debrusk had a special homecoming, returning to his hometown to face his childhood team. It was an emotional reunion as he met up with his dad, Louie DeBrusk, a former Oilers player turned Sportsnet broadcaster.

During warmups, Louie grabbed Jake for a quick interview between the player benches. The two are familiar faces on camera, having shared moments earlier this season and even chatting in the Bruins locker room the day before.
The father-and-son duo added to the heartwarming story as Louie redeemed a golden ticket Jake gave him as a kid. The ticket asked for either a goal or an assist in the game, or 30 push-ups. Talk about tough love!
Here's what happened next:
Jake scored his first goal in nine games in the second period, celebrating the achievement with gusto.
"I don't think he wanted to do push-ups," joked Louie on the Sportsnet broadcast. "Congrats, kiddo."
Louie has seen his kid score in the NHL before, shedding tears when Jake scored his first NHL goal in 2017.
Jake DeBrusk now has 13 goals and 27 points this season. His timely goal helped the Bruins stave off a fierce third-period comeback by the Oilers, eventually winning the game 6-5 in OT with a beautiful game-winner by defenseman Charlie McAvoy.
The next matchup between these two teams will take place in Boston on March 5.
