Tempers flare at Buffalo Sabres practice as captain Rasmus Dahlin got into a fight with his teammate Peyton Krebs sparking major controversy around the team.

The 2024 NHL season has had a rough start for the Buffalo Sabres. After beginning the season in Europe with two losses to the New Jersey Devils, they returned home with an 0-2 record. Things didn't improve much when they dropped their home opener against the Los Angeles Kings on October 10, 2024, losing 3-1.
However the Sabres finally got their first win of the season on October 12 beating the Florida Panthers 5-2 in Buffalo. With a 1-3 record they currently sit in last place in the Atlantic Division & are preparing for a road game against the Pittsburgh Penguins later this week.
During practice tensions boiled over when teammates Rasmus Dahlin & Peyton Krebs collided in the neutral zone. Dahlin hit Krebs leading to a brief fight between the two. Several reporters posted about the incident on twitter noting that teammates quickly stepped in to break it up before things escalated.
While fights are rare in practice, it shows the Sabres are bringing intensity as they prepare for their upcoming road games against Pittsburgh, Columbus, and Chicago. Let's hope they channel that same energy into their performances on the ice.
Stay tuned for more updates as the season progresses.
