Chicago Wolves Head Coach Receives 10-Game Suspension for Homophobic Language Towards Official

In a recent development, Heach Coach of the Chicago Wolves Bob Nardella has been handed a significant penalty with a 10 game suspension for his use of homophobic language directed at one of the officials.

Chicago Wolves head coach Bob Nardella has been suspended 10 games by @TheAHL for directing homophobic language at an official during a game on Saturday.

Effective immediately, Nardella's suspension restricts his involvement in games until January 6th. He will only be allowed to participate in non game day practices. This action by the league will help foster a culture of inclusivity condemning harassment and addressing all forms of unethical behavior.

In a press release, the AHL says it "is committed to building a culture that is safe, inclusive and free from abuse, harassment and all forms of unethical behavior or misconduct."

Nardella can participate in non-game day practices and return to the Wolves bench on Jan. 6.
