A few weeks ago, the Chicago Blackhawks made headlines due to an incident involving Corey Perry, which ultimately resulted in the termination of his contract.
Blackhawks GM Davidson Opens Up on Perry's Contract Termination
After keeping the details secret, the Hawks' General Manager, Kyle Davidson, finally shed light on the situation.
"(On the Corey Perry incident) We handled it and we got through it, but I'm happy it's in the past."
However, the past may not be entirely behind them yet. The NHLPA still has the option to appeal the team's decision. In the weeks ahead, the true resolution of this matter should become clearer.

Davidson also mentionned the responsibilities that come with the role of a general manager in the NHL.
"These jobs aren't easy. You're responsible for so many people. Whether it's that (Perry) event or something very different with Kevin (Korchinski, whose father died) and his family, you feel everything because you care about your players and your staff, and you care about their families."
