There's no shortage of magical moments in hockey, but for one player, the latest miracle came from off the ice.
Johnny Gaudreau Welcomes Second Child
It was revealed that Johnny Gaudreau, a player for the Columbus Blue Jackets, and his wife have welcomed their second child into the world.
"Congratulations to Johnny and Meredith Gaudreau on the birth of their second child. Johnny Edward Gaudreau was born in Columbus on Thursday at 7:11 p.m. (20 in. / 7 lbs., 11 oz.). Mom, both Johnnys and big sister, Noa, are all doing well. #CBJ"
This marks Gaudreau's second child, and with a healthy weight, it's fantastic news for their family of four. The couple's first son shares his father's name, and fans are already speculating on his potential future in the NHL.
"In 20 years we will see Tij Iginla pass the #Flames torch to Johnny Gaudreau Jr, signaling the start of a new era of Flames hockey."
Regardless of whether little Johnny follows in his father's footsteps, we all extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Gaudreau family on their new arrival.
