The Columbus Blue Jackets have officially hired Todd McLellan as their new head coach, replacing Pascal Vincent.
Earlier, we reported:

In breaking news, it's confirmed by another source that McLellan, 56, will be the next head coach.

McLellan, 56, has been a head coach in the NHL from 2008-2024, boasting a total record of 598-412-134 (.581) in that span with the San Jose Sharks, Edmonton Oilers, and Los Angeles Kings"

McLellan was linked to several teams this season, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, who eventually hired Craig Berube. In Columbus, McLellan will aim to maximize the potential of young talents like Adam Fantilli, Kent Johnson, and David Jiricek. His extensive NHL experience will be invaluable as the Blue Jackets continue their rebuilding process.
At the upcoming NHL draft, where Columbus holds the 4th overall pick, McLellan is expected to make his first appearance as part of the Blue Jackets' organization.
