Reportedly, controversial forward Evander Kane was visibly upset following a humiliating loss, engaging in heated arguments with Oilers teammates in the locker room.

The Edmonton Oilers suffered a tough loss in Game 1 of their second-round series against the Vancouver Canucks, blowing a 4-1 lead and ultimately falling 5-4.

Oilers captain Connor McDavid acknowledged the Canucks' resilience in clawing back.

"They're a good team and they were doing everything they could to come back and we were doing everything we could to hold on to the lead. That happens in the playoffs."



The Canucks staged a remarkable comeback in the third period, with J.T. Miller, Nikita Zadorov, and Conor Garland scoring to secure the win. Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner expressed disappointment in allowing Garland's goal but remained optimistic.

"Now I know, so it's all good."


Despite the loss, Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch emphasized the need to regroup and finish strong in upcoming games.

"We've just got to find a way to finish the job... we let it get away from us."
