In a new interview with the Spittin Chiclets Podcast, she discussed the events of that night and how she processed them afterward. She explained what led her to do it:
The handful of Cheezies I ate all day and the eight Trulys I drank in the first period was definitely inspiring.
She confirmed that her actions were spontaneous:
We were all going crazy. It wasn't planned or anything... and yeah, it just kind of happened.
She also talked about the video going viral. After the original post was taken down, she thought the fanfare was over, but others reposted the video, prolonging the attention.
It came back with a vengeance.
Now, she plans to return to her normal quiet life, despite several offers to remain in the public eye. We'll have to wait and see if she shows up at future Edmonton Oilers games during the Stanley Cup Finals.
