Both teams communicated their decision to move the game to Saturday night.

"The New York Islanders game tonight against the New York Rangers at UBS Arena has been postponed due to flooding and the state of emergency declared by New York State. The game will be made up tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. at UBS Arena."
