The pre-season is time for young players to show how much they have progressed over the summer, and this pre-season was no different for 20-year-old prospect Brennan Othmann.

Brennan Othmann scored two goals this past pre-season and was looking strong for the Rangers.

Rangers fans have a lot of to look forward to for this kid but his time in the NHL will have to wait as the Rangers have sent Othmann back down to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL.
Fans of the organization have been split on their feelings for the decision.

The two sides of the coin for the Rangers, was let the young kid jump right in the NHL or let him develop in the AHL.
Fans bringing up the fact the team has struggled to develop their younger players into their full potential.
Other fans were hoping to see the young forward stay up with the big team and play in the NHL.
The hope for the Rangers is that Othmann dominates in the AHL and becomes an instant impact player as opposed to potentially getting dominated in the NHL. The future is bright for this young player he will look to push for the opening night roster in the 2024-25 season.
