REPORT: John Tortorella will be watching from the press box AGAIN

At the start of the season, the Philadelphia Flyers had high hopes for their team under the leadership of newly-appointed head coach John Tortorella. The organization believed that with the right captain at the helm, the team could still be a playoff contender. However, the results of the season have been far from what they had hoped for, with the Flyers currently sitting in 26th place in the NHL standings, only three spots higher than their ranking last year.

Despite the team's struggles, the former General Manager, Chuck Fletcher, failed to make any moves before the trade deadline. This decision ultimately led to his firing, and he was replaced by Interim-General Manager Daniel Briere. The team is now at a crossroads, unsure of which direction to take in the future. With Tortorella still under contract for several more seasons, Briere has included him in the decision-making process of where to steer the ship.

In a recent game, Tortorella made the decision to pass the coaching reins to his assistant coach while he watched the game from the stands with the General Manager. Tortorella will once again watch from the stands as the Flyers take on the St. Louis Blues in their next game.
