The San Jose Sharks will reportedly place winger Kevin Labanc on the waivers.
Kevin Labanc, the 27-year-old forward, has one more year remaining on his contract, which carries a $4.725 million AAV. Despite being fully fit, he has not seen any ice time this season, as he's been sidelined since the start.
Renowned sports journalist, Frank Seravalli, shared on Twitter:
"Sources say #sjsharks will be placing forward Kevin Labanc on waivers today.
Labanc has been a healthy scratch for all three of San Jose's games to start the year. He's in the final year of his deal at $4.725 million and has averaged 0.5 ppg over 432 career GP."
Over his NHL career, Labanc has scored 216 points, of which 80 were goals, in a total of 432 games.
MAJOR TURNAROUND
After informing Labanc's camp that he'll be placed on waivers today, #sjsharks have reversed course and Labanc is now expected to make his season debut tonight.
