BREAKING: Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton returning to San Jose Sharks

The San Jose Sharks are considered one of the best franchises to never win the Stanley Cup. Despite the excellence of Joe Thornton and Patrick Marleau, the team struggled in the playoffs year after year.

As time went on, the duo's age caught up with them and they were no longer able to carry the team. Eventually, they had to move on to other franchises in hopes of winning a Stanley Cup before retirement. Unfortunately, neither of them was able to win the championship.

While Joe Thornton has yet to confirm his retirement and is currently without a contract for this season, the latest news is that both he and Patrick Marleau will be returning to San Jose.
