BREAKING: Young Flames Prospect Arm May Be Broken
A young first-round Flames prospect suffered an injury after a dirty hit from his opponent.
Pelletier Injured Off Of Dirty Collision
The Seattle Kraken faced off against the Calgary Flames in some preseason hockey earlier tonight and in a terrible turn of events, top Flames prospect
Jakob Pelletier has gotten injured.
The player who threw Pelletier, the 26th pick in the 2019 draft, into the boards was 2017 5th-rounder Marian Studenic.
Pretty late on this but Marian Studenic was given five minutes and a game for his hit on Pelletier.
Pelletier not on the bench to start the second, unsurprisingly.
Studenic was ejected for his actions and will likely face extra discipline from the NHLPA.
Pelletier was seen with a limp arm following the incident potentially hinting at a broken shoulder, arm, or collarbone.
Depending on the severity of this injury, Pelletier could miss either a few weeks or a few months which would completely derail his NHL progression.
