Bertuzzi, currently anticipating the birth of his second child, has taken a brief leave from the team. While there's no specific return date mentioned, it is anticipated that the Maple Leafs will provide him with the necessary time to be with his family for this significant moment.

According to Sheldon Keefe, it's possible he will miss tomorrow night's highly anticipated matchup against the Winnipeg Jets.



The absence of Bertuzzi was also noted during Tuesday's practice, as he awaited the arrival of his child. Whether he will be available for Wednesday's game against Winnipeg remains uncertain.


Despite facing a 13-game goal drought, if Bertuzzi is able to play, he is expected to resume his role in the top-six forward lineup. Tyler has had a slow year thus far with the Maple Leafs amassing 6 goals and 14 assists for a total of 20 points in 45 games.
