The Nashville Predators have had an incredible off-season so far, but their GM is hinting at the potential acquisition of another superstar.
To kick off free agency, the Predators acquired Brady Skjei, Steven Stamkos, and Jonathan Marchessault. Despite these big moves, the team is still being linked to superstar trades. Recently, GM Barry Trotz addressed rumors about their interest in a "superstar in Toronto." While he doesn't deny the reports, he suggests it's just speculation.
Barry Trotz tells @JaredStillman there's truth to the rumors of Preds being in on some big names on trade market.
He mentions a "prominent player in Toronto" as "people trying to connect dots" but also lists reasons why someone like Mitch Marner would want to come to NSH.

Trotz doesn't entirely rule out the idea of a big move, listing many reasons why someone like Mitch Marner, who has a full no-trade clause, might be interested in Nashville. Whether or not they make a move, the Predators are expected to make significant strides in the 2024/25 season. If they can secure someone like Marner to boost their forward group, the sky would be the limit for Nashville.
