The Toronto Maple Leafs have made another roster cut at training camp sending 2023 draft pick Noah Chadwick back to his junior club in the OHL.
On Tuesday, the team announced that defenseman Noah Chadwick has been sent back to the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League.
Chadwick, a 6-foot-4 defender, was drafted by the Leafs in the sixth round (185th overall) of the 2023 NHL Draft and has been named captain of the Hurricanes for the upcoming season.
The Leafs signed Chadwick to a three-year, entry-level contract in December.
Earlier in camp, five other players were also sent back to their junior teams: forwards Sam McCue, Maxim Muranov, Miroslav Holinka, Marshall Finnie, and defenseman Nathan Mayes. These cuts were made before the Leafs' pre-season games started.
With Chadwick's departure, the Leafs now have 61 players remaining at training camp.
