The Vancouver Canucks had a notable practice session on Thursday in Nashville that ended on a sour note. During one of the final drills, forward Brock Boeser left the ice early after taking a shot. The extent of any injury is currently uncertain.
The incident occurred as the Canucks were practicing their power play near the end of the session. Boeser was hit by a shot in the upper body, near his arm. He departed the ice a few minutes before the practice was scheduled to end.

Conor Garland filled in for Boeser on the top power-play unit for the remainder of the practice while the team continued drills. Elias Lindholm had previously taken Garland's spot.
Despite Boeser's early departure, head coach Rick Tocchet played down any concerns after practice.
«I think he's fine,» Tocchet commented. «I didn't really see it, to be honest with you. He didn't say anything to me.»
There were already rumors that Boeser had been dealing with an injury. He didn't travel with the team to Winnipeg for Game 82 of the regular season, and Tocchet mentioned that the forward is banged up.
While many players are battling through injuries at this stage of the season, Boeser is expected to play in Game 3 on Friday. It's a crucial game, especially after the Predators managed to split the first two contests in Vancouver.
Boeser, an American winger, had an impressive regular season with 40 goals, 33 assists, and 73 points in 81 games. So far in the playoffs against the Predators, he has one assist.
With starting goaltender Thatcher Demko "week-to-week" after injuring his knee in Game 1, losing one of their top offensive threats would be another significant setback for the Canucks.
