The Winnipeg Jets lost a tough battle against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday night, and it's not the only loss that they've now suffered.

Brenden Dillon handed three game suspension

During the game, defenseman Brenden Dillon took out Noel Acciari with a shot directly to the head, and now it has unsurprisingly cost him some time.
Winnipeg's Brenden Dillon has been suspended for three games for an illegal check to the head on Pittsburgh's Noel Acciari.
According to the NHL's Department of Player Safety, Dillon has been handed a three game suspension, and given the violence and direct nature of the hit to the head, it could have been more.
The NHL has attempted to crack down on hits like this, and while there's plenty of room left in the game for physicality, this wasn't necessary at all, and Dillon certainly deserves this suspension.
