In the midway mark of the second period, heavyweights Jarred Tinordi of the Chicago Blackhawks and Scott Sabourin of the San Jose Sharks engaged in a fast, fierce, and intense fight, trading powerful punches for almost a minute near the boards.
Both players remained on their feet as the fight concluded, but Tinordi's powerful blows had Sabourin visibly affected, wobbling away.
Despite both teams being at the bottom of the league, the length and ferocity of this fight, coupled with the electric crowd atmosphere, make it a strong contender for one of the season's best.
