#Isles News: New York Islanders President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Lou Lamoriello announced today that Lane Lambert has been relieved of his coaching responsibilities. Patrick Roy has been named Head Coach of the New York Islanders.
Lambert, in his second season leading the Isles, took over from Barry Trotz, who was released after the 2021-22 campaign. Despite Lambert's extensive coaching experience alongside Trotz, there was a collective hope that he could enhance the team's offensive prowess without compromising its defensive structure.
The team's leadership has opted for a change by bringing in Patrick Roy to take charge and guide the Islanders forward.
