The Minnesota Wild were in Dallas last night to take on the Stars for game one of the playoffs, and the game ended in a tough fought 3-2 win for the Wild in double-overtime.

While it was a very good game to watch, all the talk today has not been about the game itself, but of a hit laid by Matt Dumba on Joe Pavelski.

The hit sent Pavelski hard to the ice and forced him out of the game.

If you have not seen it yet, here it is:

Many fans thought that Dumba would be receiving a suspension for this play, but NHL Insider Greg Wyshynski just broke the news that apparently that will not be the case:

NHLPlayerSafety will NOT have a hearing for @mnwild defenseman Matt Dumba after his hit took @DallasStars center Joe Pavelski out of Game 1 last night.

Source tells me it was considered "close to being late, but within allowable window." Dumba was given a roughing minor.
