Seattle Kraken Release Shane Wright to Coachella Valley
It was announced today that the Seattle Kraken has decided to cut the former 4th overall pick in 2022 and send him to Coachella Valley. Last season, Wright played the first 8 games with the Kraken before finishing his year in junior.
#SEAKraken have sent down F Shane Wright to Coachella Valley (AHL).
Wright was granted a waiver to be able to play in the AHL this season and not finish his career out in junior. It is expected his NHL development will be much quicker spending time with the AHL affiliate than it would be playing in the OHL.
