1000-Game NHL Veteran Brad Richards Returns To The League In A New Role

In breaking news, iconic NHL veteran Brad Richards is making a comeback to the league in a new role. The St. Louis Blues have announced the hiring of former Conn Smyth trophy winner as a consultant with a main focus on analyzing and improving the team's powerplay performance.

St. Louis GM Doug Armstrong says the team hired Brad Richards as a consultant to look at the team's powerplay, send suggestions.

Known for his highly offensive playing style, two-time Stanley Cup winner Richards scored 900 points throughout his impressive career with over 1000 NHL games under his belt. His appointment comes in the aftermath of the dismissal of head coach Craig Berube.

The first Conn Smythe Trophy winner in #Bolts history has been hired by the St. Louis Blues as a consultant. Brad Richards is one of only six players in Lightning history to record over 200 power-play points with the club.

If Richards succeeds in reviving the Blues powerplay, it could open doors for further opportunities for him potentially in a head coach role.
