In game 3 of the best-of-seven series between the LA Kings and the Edmonton Oilers, tensions ran high as the Kings secured a 2-1 series lead. However, the game was not without controversy, as many have since been discussing the apparent favoritism of the referees towards the Kings.

One specific instance that has been widely debated is the game-winning goal, which was scored on a controversial play that many believe should have been called dead by the referees. Additionally, there was a play in which the referees fell for an embarrassing dive, which further fueled accusations of bias towards the Kings.
Initially, this dive resulted in a five-minute major being called against the Oilers' Nurse. However, the referees ultimately reviewed the play and downgraded the penalty to a minor. Despite this review, many fans and critics remain convinced that the referees favored the Kings throughout the game.
