In the third period of their Saturday night game, tensions reached a boiling point during a stoppage of play. Morgan Rielly and Brayden Point's altercation sparked a chain reaction, resulting in multiple players engaging in physical altercations on the ice while also creating chaos near the benches.

Luke Schenn's arrival to Toronto was intended to bolster team leadership, and he certainly demonstrated this during the game.
