Although it has been common knowledge for some time, last week marked the official announcement of the rematch between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Tampa Bay Lightning in a best-of-seven series. The two teams previously faced off in a grueling 7-game series last season, which the Lightning ultimately won.
This year, the Maple Leafs are determined to win their first playoff series since 2004, and their recent addition, Matthew Knies, has already joined the heated rivalry.
Following his team's loss in the NCAA championship game, Knies signed with the Maple Leafs and has since participated in two games, earning one assist.

Amalie Arena was the venue for the NCAA championship, coincidentally the same place where the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team plays. When Knies was asked if he was excited to return to Amalie for the playoffs, he said:

"I don't like this rink, to be honest with you. It kind of stinks.
