Gord Miller, a well-known Canadian hockey broadcaster, has expressed his frustration with the diving and injury faking in soccer.

Miller specifically criticized Argentinian midfielder Rodrigo de Paul for his "theatrical performance" during the Copa América semifinal match against Canada.

As we've seen in many major soccer tournaments, diving and theatrics are common, with players often trying to get their opponents penalized. This behavior has gone largely unchecked, leading to more players and teams engaging in it.
Miller's frustration is shared by many soccer fans, who have taken to social media to voice their displeasure. One fan suggested that FIFA adopt a rule similar to Major League Soccer (MLS).
FIFA should really implement what MLS has done when a player is "injured". If they remain on the ground for more than 15 seconds they have to exit the field following treatment and stay off for a minimum of 2 minutes until the next stoppage in play. It's made a noticeable difference in MLS matches.

Miller hopes that his comments will prompt FIFA to take action against this kind of behavior. However, it will likely take more than just his voice to bring about change, as diving and theatrics have been a long-standing issue in soccer.
