The NHL and Commissioner Gary Bettman recently announced changes to the start times of four upcoming games, affecting three Canadian teams.
The Dallas Stars vs Winnipeg Jets game on November 9 will now start at 2:00 PM CT. The Nashville Predators vs Vancouver Canucks game on January 3 has been moved to 7:00 PM PT. The Detroit Red Wings vs Winnipeg Jets game on January 4 will begin at 6:00 PM CT & the Nashville Predators vs Calgary Flames game on January 4 will now start at 8:00 PM MT. The NHL has not yet explained the reason for these schedule changes.

Three Canadian teams (Winnipeg Jets, Vancouver Canucks, & the Calgary Flames) are affected. Winnipeg is off to a strong start this season remaining the only undefeated team with a 5-0-0 record. Calgary has also had a great start sitting at 4-0-1 as well as collecting points in every game.

On the other hand the Vancouver Canucks are struggling with just two wins in their first five games. Star player Elias Pettersson hasn't looked like himself with no goals & only two assists so far this season. His tentative play has raised concerns as he frequently avoids contact & loses possession of the puck.
While it is unclear why these games were rescheduled fans & coaches will still expect their teams to perform their best regardless of the new start times.
