A hockey fan is facing severe criticism after displaying a highly offensive and disrespectful custom jersey.

The photo, taken in Brandon, Manitoba, shows the fan wearing a jersey with the number 911 and the name Bin Laden stitched on the back.

The front of the jersey isn't clearly visible, but the colors match those of the Edmonton Oilers. According to the Twitter/X user who took the photo, the front reads "Afghanistan" and the shoulder patches depict the Twin Towers.
Regardless of the team, this fan's sense of humor is in extremely poor taste. Nearly 3,000 people were killed on September 11, 2001, when two planes hit the World Trade Center and another crashed into the Pentagon. Thousands more were injured in the attacks.
It also raises the question: which embroiderer agreed to make this jersey? They share in the blame for this tasteless act.
