Malcolm Subban, brother of former NHL defenseman PK Subban, signs new contract

Malcolm Subban, former NHL goaltender & brother of PK Subban is back in hockey with a one year AHL contract to play for the Belleville Senators in this season.
The Ontario native previously starred in Belleville while playing junior hockey with the Belleville Bulls from 2010 to 2013. During his time there Subban posted a 64-42-6 record across 118 games with a strong 2.52 goals-against average, a .921 save percentage & eight shutouts. His performance in Belleville led to his first round selection (24th overall) by the Boston Bruins in the 2012 NHL Draft kicking off his professional career.
Since then Subban has spent time in both the NHL & AHL. He appeared in 87 NHL games with teams like the Bruins, Vegas Golden Knights, Chicago Blackhawks, Buffalo Sabres & Columbus Blue Jackets earning a 3.10 GAA & a .898 save percentage. In the AHL Subban has been solid with 206 games & a consistent record highlighted by 89 wins, eight shutouts, a 2.65 GAA & a .911 save percentage with clubs like Providence, Rockford & Cleveland.
Subban's return to Belleville adds a seasoned presence to the Senators roster bringing both experience & familiarity with the area. Fans can catch him in action on October 30th as the Belleville Senators face off against the Providence Bruins at CAA Arena. The season opener will feature Halloween festivities with prizes awarded for the most creative costumes making for a fun night at the rink.
