Cap Friendly has revealed that if Kessel wants to play in the playoffs, he needs to sign a contract by this Friday at 3PM ET. This applies whether he decides to go with Vancouver or any other team aiming for the playoffs.
They shared that information after the Canucks insider Rick Dhaliwal said that there was nothing new to report concerning Kessel's possible return in the NHL.
Worth noting that Kessel would need to sign a contract prior to 3pm ET on Friday in order to be playoff eligible.
