Pierre Crinon are back in the spotlight after another suspension rocked Grenoble's playoff run.

This time, it's eight games. And it didn't take long.
Crinon's latest incident came in Game 2 against Briançon on Saturday, right in front of the home crowd at Polesud. A dangerous charge, clear and direct, left officials with no choice.
The league didn't hesitate. Repeat offender. Eight games.
That label is starting to stick in a big way.
Just weeks earlier, Crinon was already making noise on the international stage. His fight with Tom Wilson at the Milan-Cortina Olympics escalated fast and ended with both players tossed.
No extra suspension there. But the damage to his reputation was already done.

Because it didn't end on the ice.
Reports out of that game pointed to behavior after the ejection that crossed a line, described as provocative by French officials. That matters when your file is already thick.

This is becoming a pattern

Back in Ligue Magnus, teams know what's coming when Crinon is on the ice. Physical is one thing. Losing control is another.
And this isn't new.
On November 30, Crinon went after Angers goaltender Matt O'Connor in a sequence that shocked players on both benches. That incident led to a seven-game suspension.
O'Connor still hasn't returned to play since that night.
Now the legal side is heating up again. What was initially closed is back on the table, with Crinon set to face trial tied to that altercation.
That changes the stakes completely.
For Grenoble, this hits at the worst time. Playoffs demand structure, discipline, and trust on the bench. An eight-game suspension in a series isn't just a loss-it's a hole on the blue line.
And inside the locker room, it forces tough conversations.
Because teammates pay the price too.
Crinon plays on the edge. That's part of his identity. But right now, that edge is costing games, stability, and maybe more.
At some point, the leash gets shorter.
And the question isn't about talent anymore.
It's about whether any team can rely on him when it matters most.
