The Utah Hockey Club just made a historic move as they signed prospect forward Noel-Nordh to a standard, entry-level contract.

Nordh was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2023 NHL draft, 72nd overall by the Arizona Coyotes. Like the rest of the team's hockey assets, he was transferred to the Utah Hockey Club when the Coyotes were sold. He has the distinct honor of being the first player to ever sign a contract with Utah.

The Utah Hockey Club have signed their first ever player by agreeing to a three-year, entry-level contract with Noel Nordh.

The #coyotes third-round pick from 2023 helped Brynas IF earn promotion back to the SHL last season.

With the No. 72 pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, we've selected Noel Nordh.

Welcome to Arizona, Noel! ☀️

Nordh had 6 goals and 15 points through 50 games in HockeyAllsvenskan, the 2nd-tier Swedish pro league. He also recorded a single goal in 13 playoff games, in which his club was promoted back to the SHL for next season. However, the 19-year-old will likely spend next season in the AHL as the team develops him and prepares him for North American hockey and the NHL.

The Utah NHL franchise has made its first official signing in franchise history, signing Noel Nordh to a three-year entry-level deal.

Nordh, 19, had 22 points through 15 games played with Brynas IF J20 this season. He was drafted 72nd overall by Arizona in 2023. #NHLinUtah
