It's that exciting time of the year, right before the National Hockey League 2023 Trade Deadline. Teams are starting to make moves to free up space on their roster and the trades are officially happening.
We've seen a few now for blockbuster players like Vladimir Tarasenko to the New York Rangers, and Ryan O'Reilly to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Just the other night the Boston Bruins made a big move to bring in Dmitry Orlov and Garnett Hathaway from the Washington Capitals.

This might just be a minor trade, but the Avalanche acquire some goaltending depth with NHL experience, which could be crucial when it comes to the playoffs.
We saw last year how some teams were forced to use their third goalies.
