TRADE ALERT 🚨
#SJSharks acquire center Jack Studnicka from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for defenseman Nick Cicek and a 2024 sixth-round Draft selection.
This is a very minor trade although Studnicka still has some potential as an offensive player in the NHL. The 24-year-old is a former 2nd round draft pick.
General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the #Canucks have acquired D Nick Cicek and a sixth-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for F Jack Studnicka.
The Canucks on the other hand, get a steady AHL defenseman that can be called up to the NHL in a pinch and a 6th round pick which is basically a lottery ticket.
