Less than four days away from the NHL Trade Deadline, the Carolina Hurricanes have made a move. As per reports, the team has been actively exploring all available options and has finally come to an agreement to acquire Jesse Puljujarvi.
The former 4th overall pick has been on the Oilers' trade block for approximately eight months. This acquisition is a significant step for the Oilers, who have been searching for a defenseman. The news was broken by reputable hockey insider Pierre LeBrun on Twitter, although details about the exchange are yet to be revealed.
An update on the trade states that the Oilers will receive Patrik Puistola, a former 3rd round pick, in exchange for Puljujarvi.
