Insider Kevin Weekes Drops A Hint Of A Potential Major Goalie Trade
There's been quite a few NHL teams going through inconsistent goaltending which has sparked trade speculations. Arizona Coyotes goalie Karel Vejmelka is quietly drawing significant interest, according to insider Kevin Weekes.
👀 Although he enjoys being an @ArizonaCoyotes , Vejmelka's drawing interest from several teams looking at upgrading their G position. Great value contract and really good metrics since becoming an @NHL Goalie . #HockeyX #HockeyTwitter

Despite Vejmelka's modest performance this season with a 3.50 GAA and .892 save percentage, teams desperate for goaltending solutions are eyeing him.
The 27-year-old Czech netminder has 3 years left on his deal with a $2.725 million annual cap hit which might make it a challenge for cap-strapped teams like the Edmonton Oilers for say.
Notably, the Carolina Hurricanes placed veteran goalie Antti Raanta on waivers, adding another layer to the goaltending landscape.
