The Toronto Maple Leafs have already made moves to strengthen their blueline this Summer, but they're not finished yet.

Rumor has it that the Leafs are in talks with the Seattle Kraken about a potential trade to add another defenseman.
A trade involving Adam Larsson for Timothy Liljegren makes sense. Adding Nick Robertson to the mix could be worthwhile for both teams.
The Leafs would send Timothy Liljegren, Robertson, and a 2026 3rd-round pick to the Kraken in exchange for veteran defenseman Adam Larsson and a 2025 5th-round pick. He's known for his solid stay-at-home play, could bring veteranship to Toronto's blue line concerns.
But, GM Brad Treliving have been focusing on finding mobile defensemen who can contribute offensively, so giving up Liljegren could seem counterproductive.
His potential makes him a valuable asset, and giving him up for Larsson feels like a step backward, especially since the Leafs need a blueliner who can transition the puck and contribute offensively.
His limited mobility doesn't fit with the Leafs' high-octane, odd-man rush style of play led by Auston Matthews and Willam Nylander.
Yet, the move could help solidify the defense that Toronto have been working to improve all off-season. We will see what transpires, but while adding a seasoned defenseman like Larsson could be tempting, the potential drawbacks could outweigh the benefits.
It's smarter for the Leafs to look for other ways to trade without giving up young talent and future assets.
