Coyotes Player Becomes First To Violate Pride Tape Ban

The Coyote in question is none other than Travis Dermott. An eagle-eyed fan spotted Dermott using the tape on the shaft of his stick, near the knob.

While many players have voiced their opposition to the Pride Tape ban, Dermott is the first confirmed player to have used it in a game. The league has threatened to fine players who use the tape but we have yet to see this happen. Perhaps Dermott will be the first to face the penalty if the league does in fact, go through with their plan to combat the rainbow-colored accessory.
