Ex-Bruins Captain, Ed Sandford Passes Away

The Boston Bruins confirmed the passing of their former captain, Ed Sandford, in an announcement made yesterday.
It is with sadness that we share Ed Sandford, who had been our oldest living Bruins Alumni member, has passed away at the age of 95.
Sandford dedicated eight seasons of his career to the Bruins.
Sandford's Career
Drafted in 1947, Ed Sandford skated professionally until 1956. Across his nine-year span in the league, he represented not only the Boston Bruins but also took to the ice with the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks.
With a tally of 251 points from 502 games, Sandford earned a place among the Bruins' top 100 iconic players in their rich history.
We send our deepest sympathies to Sandford's friends and family.
