Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports that Steen has been placed on waivers by the Bruins on Sunday.

Steen has been in and out of the lineup for the Bruins lately, managing only one goal in 34 games this season.
If the 25-year-old forward clears waivers, he is expected to continue serving as a depth option for the AHL Providence team.
