Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney gave a concerning update on captain Brad Marchand's health status.

Marchand, who recently revealed that he had undergone three offseason surgeries, including procedures on his elbow, groin, and abdominal (for a sports hernia), won't be skating with the main group during training camp for now.

Sweeney confirmed that while Marchand won't be on the ice with the team during camp as he recovers, the good news is that he is still expected to be ready for the Bruins' opening night lineup.

Marchand's recovery remains on track despite the setbacks.
