The NHL issue an official decision on Brad Marchand's embellishment

Brad Marchand drew a slashing penalty on Tyler Bertuzzi after appearing to exaggerate the play, fooling the officials. Despite calls for action, the NHL has not addressed the incident.

During a scrum in the Leafs' zone, players from both teams were already heading to the penalty box, but the back official also penalized Tyler Bertuzzi for slashing Brad Marchand. While Bertuzzi may have made contact with Marchand's leg, many believe Marchand exaggerated the impact, akin to a soccer player after a tackle.

Despite the controversy, the league has not taken any action against Marchand for embellishment.

Fortunately, the questionable call didn't affect the game's outcome. Now, the Leafs aim to take the lead as the series returns to Toronto for game three.
