The Buffalo Sabres are a young team full of up-and-coming talent, and now, one of their top prospects has been traded in the WHL for a major haul.
Just days after being knocked out of the World Junior Classic as a member of Team Canada, Matthew Savoie, a Sabres top prospect has now been traded to Moose Jaw for an incredible haul.
In return for Savoie, the Wenatchee Wild have landed seven!! draft picks, including two first-round picks and a second-round pick in the WHL Draft, an incredible haul for a fantastic player.
While he has played in just 11 games this year, Savoie has been unstoppable, tallying 11 goals and 24 points, and with this big haul, it's safe to say that the Sabres may have a future star on their hands.
