Nazem Kadri's tenure with the Calgary Flames has been filled with swirling rumors about his potential departure, and now an insider suggests he might be ready to move on.

Despite the Calgary Flames signing Kadri to a massive seven year deal, recent rumors suggests that he could be moving to another team sooner than we think. According to NHL Trade Rumours and David Pagnotta of The 4th Period, Kadri is open to a trade, although no deal is imminent.
My understanding with respect to (Kadri) is that he's willing to waive (the no-move clause) for the right situation. I think he would welcome a return to Colorado.

Kadri holds significant control over his destiny due to his seven-year contract and no-movement clause, giving him the leverage to choose his next destination carefully. A return to the Colorado Avalanche appears to be a favorable option for Kadri. He has had considerable success there, including winning a Stanley Cup, and is familiar with the team dynamics. However, his substantial cap hit limits the number of teams that can afford him, narrowing down his potential landing spots.
Even if Kadri wanted to reunite with the Avalanche, he would have to go through a pretty long wait period for that to happen. Still, the fact that he had no issue waiving his no move clause proves that he's ready to make some major career changes.
