The Calgary Flames made several big trades during the 2023-24 season and continued making moves in the offseason by trading Jacob Markstrom and Andrew Mangiapane. However, more changes might be on the way.

NHL insider David Pagnotta reports that the Flames are exploring trade options for Nazem Kadri.
Nothing is imminent, and he has a full NMC, but word out there suggests the #Flames are exploring trade market on Nazem Kadri.
Kadri, 33, has a no-movement clause, giving him full control over any potential trade. Despite this, the Flames are still considering offers for the veteran center.
Teams interested in Kadri should be prepared for more than just a short-term addition. He is under contract until the end of the 2028-29 season with a $7 million cap hit.
Kadri's trade value likely increased after an impressive 2023-24 season, where he scored 29 goals and tallied 75 points in 82 games. This was a significant improvement from his first year with the Flames, where he scored 24 goals and had 56 points in 82 games during the 2022-23 season.
We will have to wait and see what happens next with Kadri. He could be a valuable addition for teams looking for a top-six center.
