Connor Bedard was already off to a historically good start to his NHL career. Tonight he found another gear as he carried his Blackhawks with a stunning performance.
Bedard Secures Historic First Career Four-Point Game
The Blackhawks rookie centerman went off tonight on the Tampa Bay Lightning. He currently has two goals and four points with just a couple of minutes left to play. His two goal performance makes him the youngest ever Blackhawk to record a multi-goal game.
Bedard Shows Off Playmaking Ability In Historic Performance
Bedard's night was not just about scoring goals. He also recorded a couple of nice assists, including a primary helper on Corey Perry's powerplay goal.
That being said, Bedard is still primarily a goal scorer at the end of the day and he sure does score a lot of them. With two tallies tonight, he is currently on pace to be top-ten all time in rookie goal scoring leaders, beating out players like Auston Matthews.
Matthews famously had 40 goals in his rookie season.
